In this 90 minute webinar for QISMET Professor Richard Osborne, a leader in health literacy, talks about health literacy. He describes how different individuals have differing levels of capacity to understand and act on health information, and therefore need different types of support to help them self-manage. 

He sets out the definition of health literacy, describes how the Health Literacy Questionnaire was developed, and shows how profiling the health literacy needs of people in a local population can of and how understanding health literacy needs can help organisations work with people like this so they have the best chance of getting and maintaining good health.  The presentation supporting the webinar is also available for download.
