The Health Foundation developed a training programme (the Patient Skills Programme) for patients to enable people to better manage their own health.

This Guide provides an overview of self management, an overview of the patient skills programme, guidance on supporting participants after they finish the programme and an overview of how to quality assure the programme

Patient Skills Programme: Guide for facilitators 

This Guide is for anyone facilitating sessions on the Patient Skills Programme.  It sets out an overview of the programme, an overview of the modules, a standard programme for six sessions and guidance on creating new activities.

Patient Skills Programme: Facilitator Manual Module A 

The programme consists of 3 modules. This manual is for facilitators and includes all the information necessary to support activities in Module A.

Patient Skills Programme: Facilitator Manual Module B 

The programme consists of 3 modules. This manual is for facilitators and includes all the information necessary to support activities in Module B

The programme consists of 3 modules.  This manual is for facilitators and includes all the information necessary to support activities in Module C.

This Guide sets out a framework for quality assurance.

This Guide sets out the core competencies for facilitators and standards for their recruitment, training and support.

You mention that a participant Workbook and Handouts are available, but I am unable to locate them?

I am working on a project for Pennine Health FT. One of the areas is paediatric diabetes and the lack of a local, on line perhaps training /educational programme for this group.
by do you have any peadiatric diabetes training educational programmes for parents and children please? thank you
