How to use patient decision aids
This paper briefly describes the stages in using a patient decision aid in a consultation and advice on how to present statistics relating to risk.

Teams working on the Health Foundation's MAGIC programme designed workshops to help health professionals develop the skills and techniques for effective shared decision making. Materials to support the programme include overheads, handouts and pre and post-training self assessment.
